The Lake District

Posted in Recommendations on November 2nd, 2018

The Lake District is the largest of the UK’s national parks. It is home to breathtaking lakes, soaring mountains (which are locally known as fells), picturesque valleys and you can even find a stunning sandy coastline.

There are a wide range of activities and things to do in the lake district with over 3,100 km of pathways, where you can walk, cycle and ride around on. During the winter months you can even learn winter skills with the Fell Top Assessors on Helvellyn. As well as many attractions on land there are many things to do on the lakes and the coastline within the Lake District, such as water skiing and sailing.

Whatever your interest the Lake District has something for everyone and is great for all ages, it is also extremely accessible. This has helped it become the firm family favourite holiday destination we all know and love today.
